Care for the Carers

The Carers Centre in East Sussex, supporting unpaid carers aged 16 and over, through the following services:

  •  ‘Gateway’ helpline – information, advice, support & access to other services
  • One-to-one support and advice sessions
  • Support to complete Carers Self-Assessments
  • Carers groups, including specialist groups for carers of people with MH issues and for young adult carers
  • Counselling service – up to 12 free sessions
  • Support to access grants – e.g. for respite, equipment, white goods
  • Carer engagement opportunities, such as forums and consultations
  • Events and activities – e.g. pamper days, theatre trips, wellbeing walks, afternoon teas
